Join Partners for Parks as we celebrate our sponsors and recognize individuals and organizations who have made significant contributions to promoting and enhancing the parks, greenways, open spaces, active play, and recreational opportunities within our community!
This year we are celebrating the following Award Winners:
  • Brad Davis Lifetime Achievement award: Riley Fields, Carolina Panthers
  • Joe Cogdell volunteer recognition award: Elaine Powell, former Chair of Mecklenburg County Park Commission
  • Non-Profit Organization award: NC Wildlife Great Outdoors University: Mary Bures
  • Corporate recognition award: Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina
  • Project Recognition award: First Ward Park, Mecklenburg County Park & Recreation

Partners for Parks is run entirely by volunteers. Members serve on our Executive Board and Committees, help put on special events, work on projects and grants, advocacy, etc. Some volunteer opportunities are ongoing, others are for an hour or a day.
